Course overview
Course Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are engaged to manage the work of others or to add value to or review management practices. Their role may be in any industry or organisational setting.
Typically people in these roles will have considerable experience in their respective industries or vocational areas and couple an informed perspective of the specific work requirements with their managerial approaches. The Diploma of Leadership and Management requires a sound theoretical knowledge base and managerial competence to plan, carry out and evaluate own work and/or the work of a team. AbSec Learning and Development Centre has tailored the course to apply particularly to serving Aboriginal families and communities.
Entry requirements
Prior completion of the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or Certificate IV in Business, or vocational experience in a management or supervisory role is preferred but not compulsory.

All applicants must undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment as part of the enrolment process to ensure appropriate assistance is provided throughout the course.
