Course description
Step up, lead strong, and make a real impact in your workplace or community. This nationally recognised qualification, BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management, builds your confidence to lead with purpose, empathy, and cultural understanding—skills that make a real difference across teams, organisations, and communities.
At the AbSec Learning and Development Centre (LDC), this course goes beyond management theory. We embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives at every level, ensuring leadership is grounded in respect, collaboration, and community. You’ll learn how to motivate teams, communicate with influence, manage performance, and create safe, inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. Whether you’re already leading or ready to take the next step, this course gives you the tools to drive positive change—with culture at the centre.
Who can attend?
Prior completion of the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or Certificate IV in Business, or vocational experience in a management or supervisory role is preferred but not compulsory.
